The Telugu states are currently in a cheerful holiday mood as people celebrate Christmas, enjoy year-end vacations, and prepare for the upcoming Sankranthi festival. After months of busy work schedules, families are finally getting time to relax and spend quality moments together. Schools and colleges are closed, offices are slow and the festive atmosphere can be felt everywhere across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Many people are using this holiday season to travel with their families. Tourist places are seeing huge crowds, especially hill stations and scenic locations. Araku Valley has become one of the most visited destinations during this period. Visitors from nearby states are arriving in large numbers to enjoy the cool climate and natural beauty. Hotels, resorts, and lodges are almost fully booked by making it difficult for last-minute travelers to find rooms. Popular viewpoints and parks are crowded throughout the day.

Along with tourist spots, religious places are also witnessing a heavy rush. Famous temples are filled with devotees, as many people prefer to visit holy places during holidays. Tirumala is experiencing very large crowds due to the special Vaikunta Ekadasi and ongoing temple celebrations. Devotees are waiting for long hours for darshan, while officials are making arrangements to control crowds and maintain order.

The holiday rush is also clearly visible on roads and public transport. Highways connecting major cities are busy with nonstop traffic. Trains are fully booked, and bus stations are packed with passengers. Though the festive spirit and pleasant weather are encouraging people to travel, issues like traffic jams and accommodation shortages are becoming common.
