Nag Ashwin leaves his indelible mark in just ten years!

Nag Ashwin with just three films has become a brand to reckon with in Telugu Cinema, in just a decade. The highly talented writer-director has started his career with Yevade Subrahmanyam. The movie established him as a new-age director with great penchant for content and strong visual sense. He even won Nandi Award from State Government as Best Debut Director.

He followed it up with a highly revered classical biopic, Mahanati, based on the life of Savitri. The movie created sensation at the box office and it has been revered as instant classic by critics and movie-goers alike. The movie got a National Award for Best Feature Film and he did it with just his second film.

He delivered a magnum opus like Kalki 2898 AD with huge stars like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan among the cast and SS Rajamouli, Ram Gopal Varma, Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, Dulquer Salmaan in cameos. The movie became a Pan-India blockbuster collecting more than Rs.1100 crores gross worldwide.

With just 3 films in ten years, the director has become a brand in Telugu Cinema. As a producer also he delivered Jaathi Ratnalu kind of a huge blockbuster. Placing his bets on content majorly, he is able to deliver commercial successes, too. It is rare to find makers who get both in perfect blend and he seems to be acing it.
