Bollywood romantic movie Tere Ishq Mein grabbed attention even before its release because of the music and all the hype around the songs. But once the film hit theatres, the response turned a bit mixed. Some felt the characters were over-hyped and certain portions dragged longer than needed.

Even with those issues, the film leaves a warm impression. It almost feels like an emotional follow-up to Raanjhanaa, and honestly, Genz has connected with it. The emotions, the mood, the way the story moves, it has that older Bollywood charm, which some still like catching on a lazy weekend.

Of course, the movie isn’t spotless. The music, which you expect to be strong in a romantic drama, doesn’t really rise to the occasion. The direction wavers at places, and the casting feels okayish, nothing that makes you sit up. A bit of choppy editing also affects the flow here and there.

But the story and the dialogues hold the whole thing together. That’s the part that works. And despite everything, Tere Ishq Mein has crossed the fifty-crore mark. Compared to other Bollywood releases like Gustaakh Ishq and De De Pyaar De 2, this one is performing better.

With a rumoured budget of around Rs 85 crore, the film might comfortably reach the 100–150 crore zone once theatres, OTT, and satellite are all counted, a decent win for the producers.
