Chiranjeevi Thanks Revanth Reddy for Resolving Film Industry Strike
Chiranjeevi expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for his swift intervention in resolving the matter.;
The 18-day-long strike by the Employees’ Federation in the Telugu film industry has officially ended today. The issue was resolved after proactive discussions facilitated by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Both the producers and the Employees’ Federation came to an agreement by allowing film shoots to resume from tomorrow.
Chiranjeevi expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for his swift intervention in resolving the matter. He wrote, "I wholeheartedly express my gratitude to the Honorable Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri Revanth Reddy, for resolving a highly complex industry issue in a very harmonious manner, ensuring justice for both producers and workers. The measures taken by the Chief Minister for the development of the Telugu film industry are commendable. His vision to transform Hyderabad into not just a national but a global hub for the film industry, along with the efforts he is making toward this goal, are truly praiseworthy. As part of the resolution, cine workers will receive a 22.5% wage hike, to be implemented in three phases: 15% in the first year, 2.5% in the second year, and 5% in the third year. The agreement also saw several workers' demands accepted. For other unresolved issues, a committee led by the Principal Secretary will be formed to submit a report within a month.
