Long Weekend Will Benefit Both 'Double Ismart' & 'Mr Bachchan': TG Vishwa Prasad

Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja and commercial director Harish Shankar are coming with 'Mr. Bachchan' which is hitting the marquee on 15th August. The promotional content has impressed the audience big time. The teaser, songs and the trailer have gotten a superb response and the promotions are in full swing already. With only a few days left for the release, producer TG Vishwa Prasad interacted with the media. Here are some snippets from the chat he had.

This is your third film with Ravi Teja after 'Dhamaka' & Eagle'. How to you think 'Mr Bachchan' fares?

We did a series of movies with Ravi Teja garu. We travelled with Harish Shankar for quite some time now. The combination of Harish Shankar and Ravi Teja is quite crazy. There are a lot of commercial ingredients in the movie like entertainment, action, mass episodes, romance and more. It will be a huge plus point and 'Mr Bachchan' is a complete mass entertainer.

Did you plan to arrive on August 15th?

We planned to finish the movie by May or June right when we started the project. We decided to release the movie according to the schedule. We wanted to release the movie on 9th August but the songs are yet to be completed. It is the reason why we did not announce the date. With 'Pushpa' getting postponed, we decided 15th August is the best date.

Two big films 'Double Ismart' and 'Mr Bachchan' are releasing on 15th August. There will be no problem for both. This season gives good output for both and the long weekend will be a big advantage.

Did 'Mr Bachchan' Complete Within the Anticipated Budget?

We made the film on a grand scale which is what you expect from a Ravi Teja and Harish Shankar project. We finished the film within the planned budget.

What is the reason behind picking a new heroine?

It is a director's call. Bhagyashri Borse performed amazingly in this movie.

Are you planning another film with Ravi Teja anytime soon?

We don't have a number as of now but we want to continue working with him as much as possible.

The songs of 'Mr Bachchan' became super hit. Tell us about Mickey J Meyer?

There is an extraordinary sync between Harish and Mickey. They both worked together to come up with such a grand output for this film. The songs got a very good response.

You have worked closely with Hollywood. Do you plan on bringing Hollywood technology here?

It is the plan. Our production house has adopted a few technologies already.

You have started a factory model by keeping 100 films as a target. But the market condition is different now. Did the process slow down?

Not at all. There are 15 films ready for release from us right now. There are 10 more films which are ready to provide the best cinematic experience. The next 2-3 years are going to be in the same manner.

Will 'Mr Bachchan' have premiers?

Yes! It is confirmed.

Tell us about projects happening in your banner right now?

'G2', 'Mirai', 'Raja Saab' and Sunny Deol's Hindi film are happening right now. We are making a Kannada film with an actor named Ganesh. It is made on 50 crores budget. There are three more Kannada films lined up. Another 4 films are being made in Telugu. There is Vishwak Sen and Anudeep movie which is going to start this year along with a few more. We are doing two more projects in the US.

'Vishwam' and 'Swag' are getting ready for release and there are five films ready for OTT release.

How far did 'Raja Saab' come?

Around 50% of the shooting is done. The entire production will be wrapped up by the end of this year. It will release on 10th April 2024.
