Vijay’s Team Reportedly Secures Theme From NBK Film For This Amount

The upcoming political action drama Jana Nayagan, starring Tamil Superstar Thalapathy Vijay, seems to be tapping into this magic. Set for release on January 9, 2026, the film directed by H Vinoth, has sparked excitement not only for its story but also for reports suggesting that the team has acquired the main theme from Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari.

Cine Corn reports suggest the rights could have cost Rs 3 crore. Fans are excited at the idea of blending the iconic NBK theme into Vijay’s film, although official confirmation is still awaited. If true, it will create a memorable connection between the two cinematic worlds.

Bhagavanth Kesari, released in 2023, starred Nandamuri Balakrishna and Sreeleela and told the story of an ex-cop guiding Vijayalakshmi to fulfill her late father’s dream while facing a vengeful business magnate.

Jana Nayagan is rumored to feature Vijay as a former cop, with Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol as co-leads, and a strong supporting cast including Prakash Raj and Gautham Vasudev Menon. Releasing during Pongal 2026, it will face a box office clash with Prabhas’ The Raja Saab, making the film’s music and theme choice even more talked about.
