New Final Cut Ready For Vijay's Jana Nayagan
According to the latest reports, the makers of Jana Nayagan have now completed all the changes suggested by the censor committee.;
The Tamil film industry faced a major setback when Jana Nayagan, the much-awaited final film of Thalapathy Vijay (actor), was delayed. The movie was earlier planned as a special Pongal 2026 release, but it could not move forward due to censor problems. The Central Board of Film Certification did not clear the film in its earlier review, which disappointed fans and trade circles.
According to the latest reports, the makers of Jana Nayagan have now completed all the changes suggested by the censor committee. The team has reportedly worked on the final cut again and removed or trimmed the scenes pointed out by the board. A fresh edited version of the film is now ready and will soon be submitted to the revising committee for approval.
Sources suggest that once the new version is submitted, the producers KVN Productions may also withdraw the legal case filed against the censor board. If this happens, the censor issue is expected to reach a final decision by the second week of February 2026. However, the production house has not made any official statement yet.
The film is directed by H Vinoth, and it is said that the movie went through multiple rounds of editing already. Even after the new changes, trade experts believe that the film may finally receive an A certificate, considering its serious and intense content.
If the censor board clears the film soon, the makers are likely to announce the release date within days. Many believe that Jana Nayagan could hit theatres in February 2026. If that does not happen, the release may be postponed until after the Tamil Nadu state assembly elections.
