Recently Nagarjuna Akkineni stated openly that technicians should wrap the work on time, such that films would get released on time. Though the senior hero made a sincere appeal, many pointed fingers towards the likes of Thaman, accusing that he’s delaying to deliver the music of the movie. However, all the accusations sounded true until the talented maestro opened up.

“If they give me the final cut of the film 2 months before the release date, even I would give the final copy a month before the release date”, says SS Thaman, as he explained that producers and directors are giving him the final copy just 2 weeks or sometimes 1 week before the release date and then rushing him, pushing the blame on him.

“Sometimes directors can’t even gauge how their film is ending up. Only after watching the first copy of the film along with the background score, they are getting the final feel of the movie. Then they will start making edit changes and all. Every time they remove a frame or add a frame, music tracks, close to 900 layers, should be arranged accordingly. Now, tell me who should give the film on time to me, such that I could send my work in advance,” asked Thaman.

That’s a big word coming from Thaman as he further added, “What Nagarjuna garu said is 100% right, but that’s impossible. Our people are not in that zone of work; they will get clarity only after watching the final copy, and then they start re-working on that. That’s why films are delayed”.

Well, Thaman made his point; we have to see what directors or producers will say about this.
