Thaman had a couple of new theatre outing this Sankranti festival season in the form of Daku Maharaj and Game Changer.
Star music, Director Thaman had a couple of new theatre outing this Sankranti festival season in the form of Daku Maharaj and Game Changer. He appeared to be fully indulging in the success of Daku Maharaj, while the other film went South at the ticket counters.
In this context, Thaman has shared an interesting message about the kind of negativity that is being observed in the film industry. He urged the general audience and also cinema lovers in general not to indulge in campaigns that are aimed at killing cinema.
“At a time when Telugu cinema is leading the Indian cinema scene with absolute certainty, it is sad that our own audience are spreading negativity and attempting to kill the theatrical run of certain films. We must move away from this toxic cancel culture.” Thaman said on stage.
The happening music Director noted that this is at a point when film producers are not even able to claim credits for the success of their films, as they are fearing social media negativity, and hate campaigns. He was of the opinion that this is a very negative culture that is affecting the film industry in so many ways.
Thaman noted that he is extremely disappointed and moved by this negative culture that is affecting producers and also the technicians associated with films. He said the fan war culture on social media should be restricted at large, as it is crossing the limit and leading to serious repercussions.
When a principal technician is looking so very moved by the kind of negativity that is going around, we must be understanding the kind of situation that is being observed in the film industry. The toxic culture must indeed be stopped at the earliest before things get further out of hand.
