Alliance or no alliance, the TDP is in for a rout in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections this year. According to a key public-mood survey by Times Now-Matrize NC, the YSRCP would win 19 Lok Sabha seats, while the TDP-Jana Sena alliance would end up with just six seats. The BJP and the Congress, as usual, will draw a black, according to the survey. The survey results were published on Wednesday evening.

Currently, the YSRCP has 22 MPs in the Lok Sabha and the TDP just three. The survey predicted that there would be slight improvement in the TDP tally, but despite that it would not be in a position to make a dent into the YSRCP dominance. The survey says that the YSRCP would get 47 per cent of the popular vote, while the TDP would end up with 41 percent. In the 2019 elections, the YSRCP secured 51 per cent vote. Despite a fall of 4 percentage points, the YSRCP dominance will continue, according to the survey.

The BJP would get 2 per cent votes, while the Congress would get 1 per cent votes. This means that YS Sharmila’s entry will have no impact whatsoever on the electoral fortunes of the Congress Party. Others will get 4 per cent votes, according to the survey.

The survey predicted a hattrick for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The BJP has won the 2014 and the 2019 elections. The survey says that the BJP will clean sweep Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. It will also outperform itself in the all-important Uttar Pradesh, the survey predicted.
