Several prominent figures from the Telugu film industry have expressed their displeasure regarding Minister Konda Surekha's comments targeting Samantha and the film fraternity. The remarks have sparked a wave of condemnation from actors and directors alike, who voiced their concerns on social media.

Mahesh Babu, in a heartfelt tweet, condemned the minister's language, stating, "I am deeply anguished by the unacceptable remarks and language used by a woman minister on another woman… I strongly condemn the cheap and baseless comments made and request people in public domain to refrain from making the film fraternity a soft target." His statement urged for dignity and respect towards women in the industry.

Joining him, actor Ravi Teja expressed his outrage, tweeting, "I’m appalled by a woman minister resorting to demonic tactics… Leaders should set a positive example and enhance societal values, not diminish them." He stated that dragging innocent individuals into political battles is shameful.

Director Harish Shankar also voiced his support, mentioning that cinema and its contributors have always played a vital role in societal development, and attacking them for political gain is unacceptable.

Manchu Manoj called it “disheartening” and stressed that such allegations undermine the progress women have made, while Naresh Vijay Krishna urged for an end to this political drama, stating that it was time to put a stop to such baseless accusations.

On the other hand, Teja Sajja wrote, “While 3L votes may make you People's Representative, earning the trust of 100 million is what it takes to be an actor. It is entirely unacceptable to demean anyone,

especially women, in such a manner.

It's disheartening that you have such a shallow opinion on us actors. As actors, we are at the forefront of societalo Contributions—be it through donations, social services, or taxes. Despite our significant efforts, we are the ones unfairly targeted for attention. I strongly condemn the exploitation of personal lives for political gain and urge that such discussions be kept out of political discourse.”

This collective outcry highlights the industry’s firm stance against using cinema as a political target and the importance of upholding the dignity of its members. The hashtag #FilmIndustryWillNotTolerate continues to gain momentum online.
