There is a new trend that is catching up big time in Tollywood and it has something to do with the increasing desire for pan-Indian hype and attention. The same can be understood if we look at Allu Arjun and Ram Charan's latest feats.
While Charan already went to Lucknow for the teaser release event of Game Changer, Allu Arjun is on the brink of going to Patna, Bihar for the trailer launch event of Pushpa 2.
The common desire between the two events is to gain the attention of the pan Indian audience and particularly cater to the Hindi audience. Charan releasing Game Changer teaser in Lucknow gained some traction there which is a good thing for the film. Soon, Allu Arjun will do something similar for Pushpa 2 as the trailer is set to be released in Patna.
It is evident that the Telugu stars are on a mission of touring the Northern belt of India to catch the attention of the local audience. This is in view of the growing Hindi market for Telugu films.
While the prospects of Game Changer are not yet established, it is estimated that Pushpa 2 would easily touch the Rs 500 crore nett mark in the Hindi belt. In order to cement the Hindi box office prospects, Bunny appears to have planned the event in the core Hindi mass belt of Patna.
