It has come to this situation that Tollywood is not churning out creative movies at a time when other languages are coming up with intense films. Say it Thudarum from Malayalam, The Tourist Family from Tamil, or Dhurandhar from Bollywood, irrespective of the genre of the movie, they are carving out intense characters. So, where is this gap coming from, and how could it be bridged?

Speaking at the promotional event of the upcoming film “Gayapadda Simham”, actor JD Chakravarthy has shared his opinions on them. With few media fraternity expressing their opinions that when the likes of top writers like Anurag Kashyap turn into actors, who will be there to create intense characters, the actor shared his thoughts. “It’s the job of the director to ask for intense character and the subsequent scenes and sequences. If directors are not asking, surely no writer would be able to give an intense character just like that. With JD having the experience of working as a writer for Ram Gopal Varma’s movies, surely his point of view seems to be valid.

On a joking front, as Anurag Kashyap earlier worked under JD Chakravarthy, the actor stated that he will communicate to Anurag that the acting stint is making media people miss the writer inside Anurag. That said, Anurag’s acting stints like in Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja and now in Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit, are all being enjoyed by the people big time.
