Not Heroines but Heroes Are Missing Now

Tollywood is clearly going through a big change. The audience's taste is not the same anymore. Viewers now want fresh stories and new ideas. Old routine stories are no longer accepted. Because of this shift, even filmmakers are trying to come up with different content. At the same time a new problem has started in the industry. Many directors are not able to find heroes for their films.
Tollywood always had a shortage of heroines. There were many heroes and directors. But now the situation looks different. Almost every star hero is busy with multiple projects. Because of this some directors are waiting without starting their films even after completing scripts and getting producers ready.
Director Boyapati Srinu is one example. After his recent film plans he is searching for a suitable hero. He prefers big stars but most top heroes are already committed. There were talks about working with Ranbir Singh but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Director Harish Shankar is also in a similar situation. He has a story ready and even received advances from producers. He planned a film with Balakrishna but the project is not happening now. So he is looking for another hero.
Director Maruthi faced a setback with his recent film. After that some heroes are thinking carefully before accepting his stories. He approached actors like Ram Pothineni and Varun Tej but nothing was finalized.
The same issue is seen with Parasuram and Koratala Siva. They have scripts and producers but are waiting for heroes. Some directors are even trying to bring actors from other industries.
Young directors like Sudheer Varma and Tirumala Kishore are also holding scripts and waiting.
So in Tollywood, audience demand is rising. Heroes are busy. Directors are ready. But the right combination is missing. If heroes adjust their schedules then more new films can begin. Until then many stories will remain on paper.
