This Week BO: Unexpected Small Films Take Charge

Last week, Tollywood’s Friday just saw one talked-about film hitting cinemas and that is Tarun Bhaskar’s Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi that has hit cinemas on January 30th. Surprisingly, there is not much competition at the Box Office as well as still Sankranthi films like Megastar’s Mana Shanakara Varaprasad Garu are holding the horses, but nothing new is there. That’s not the scenario this week.

Out of the blue, many unknown and unannounced films are trying to knock on the doors of movie theatres on February 6th. If we include many fameless and unknown films, Tollywood is likely to witness almost a dozen movies hitting the cinemas. Firstly, we have Gunasekhar’s Euphoria movie and due to the presence of Dhurandhar heroine Sara Arjun, the movie got attention.

Bigg Boss fame Amardeep's Sumathi Sathakam, and prominent actor Naveen Chandra’s Honey are grabbing attention next. Then comes actor Prabhakar’s son Chandrahaas, who calls himself Attitude Star and makes all the sensational statements for Barabar Premista to get attention. Even the Tamil film, With Love, featuring Tourist family hero Abhishan Jeevinth as hero, and Anaswara Rajan as heroine, is grabbing attention.

Similarly, other Telugu films like Sri Chidambaram Garu, Erracheera, Laggam Time, Blood Roses, and others are also trying to make some noise. We have to see which of these movies will click after taking the charge. Both promotions and content are important right now.
