April Films Go Unnoticed and Here Is Why
Now another set of films is getting ready for release on April 17. But again the same issue is seen. Films like Bad Boy Karthik did not create enough noise.;
Promotions and taking a film into the audience play a very important role in the success of any film. A good story alone is not enough today. If people do not know about a film they will not come to theatres. That is why promotion has become a key part of filmmaking. Whether it is a small film or a big film, strong promotion can bring more audience.
In recent times Tollywood is clearly showing this trend. Many films with decent content are failing to create impact because they did not reach the audience properly. At the same time some average films are getting good openings only because of strong publicity.
In April several films were released but most of them could not create a big buzz. Movies like Biker and Rakshasulu received positive reviews but they did not perform strongly at the box office. One reason is lack of strong promotion. The audience today expects excitement even before release. Without that excitement they are not interested in watching a film on the first day.
Now another set of films is getting ready for release on April 17. But again the same issue is seen. Films like Bad Boy Karthik did not create enough noise. Even though the hero has some image there is very little buzz on social media. Delays in release and a routine trailer also reduced interest.
Some films have better publicity but still there is doubt about openings. The audience now depends a lot on talk and reviews. They are waiting to hear public opinion before going to theatres. This is becoming a big challenge for filmmakers.
Earlier promotions were simple. Posters and trailers were enough. But now times have changed. Social media campaigns, interviews , events and continuous updates are needed. Without these even a good film may go unnoticed.
