Buzz: AI-Centric Love Stories Are The New Fetish

Whenever a new thing comes up, Tollywood will be quick to embrace it big time. However, sometimes the filmmakers here don’t even realise that they are pretty late in terms of picking up such subjects.

Right now, everyone is already putting dialogues in their movies that ‘ChatGPT told them to do certain things’ and all. And some are writing stories like what if someone falls in love with ChatGPT and other AI tools. Some filmmakers are already picking up stories like the after effects of AI tools and so on.

However, Hollywood has churned out such movies long back, including the Oscar-winning movie “HER” which features the hero falling in love with an AI-voice lady somewhere in the near future. Many are wondering if Tollywood makers are even following Hollywood closely when it comes to creating such content.

Even in movies like Blade Runner 2049, the hero has a holographic AI-girlfriend, played by Ana De Armas, and that track was a superhit. While churning out new generation AI-content by Telugu makers would be more or less similar to this, many are wondering why this ‘AI fetish’ is taking Tollywood by a storm now.

On the other hand, with the arrival of AI, some script writers are writing most of their screenplays using Chat GPT and surprisingly, almost all the film ideas given by this AI-assistant sound the same. Usually, people should rely on AI to assist in developing their original idea, but not take everything from AI and make it an original film. High time Tollywood realises this difference.
