Buzz: Producer Announcing Many Films For What?

A production house that has seen some major losses back-to-back in recent times, except for one Sankranthi film, is now announcing many movies in a row. Many are wondering why this production is able to announce so many movies at a time when other big production houses are literally running after OTT platforms to get their movies approved and take some advance first. Insider talk is that there is a strategy behind this.

As per some sources in the know, it’s coming out that in order to announce a big film, which features a big Bollywood hero and requires a massive budget, the production house is announcing all these movies, so that they will get some huge funding in advance. Though some of the recently launched projects are not even approved on OTTs, and some other films that are already ready from the production house are not even seeing the light of day, the production house is hoping that their lineup will actually impress the investors. If they get huge funding, then their big film that’s laced with huge VFX will kickstart without any delay.

On the flip side, many production houses earlier have played this ‘rotation’ game, but none of them has succeeded in the end. Rather than making this game, it’s better if they focus on content-based games like Ramoji Rao, is what some say. Well, when the producer is confident of his plans, what can we say!
