Trade Talk: Vishwaksen’s Responsibility For Valentine’s Day

After the Sankranthi season, last week the Telugu industry witnessed a massive release of films, but none managed to get footfalls in theatres, even with above-average and good talk. Films like Euphoria, With Love, Sri Chidhambaram Garu, and Honey have released amidst hype, but only a couple of them got good reviews. However, they are also staring at idle theatres as footfalls have massively declined.

Moving on, coming Friday, we have the likes of Vishwaksen’s Funky, Santosh Shoban’s Couple Friendly, and Arjun Sarja’s Seetha Payanam hitting cinemas. Only if one of these movies does the stunning stunt of bringing more crowds to theatres, Tollywood might get relieved. Among the heroes of those films, Vishwaksen is one star who enjoys that mass following, and he should surely give energy to the box office with this new movie.

After looking at the trailer of “Funky”, it looks like Jathiratnalu fame Anudeep's directorial is a massive laugh riot, and the movie has all the ingredients to click if Vishwaksen gets the right amount of hype. However, these days Vishwaksen stopped doing hype-backed controversial promotions, but if he could rake up hype in the next couple of days, Funky might be the real winner for Valentine's Day. That's what even the trade is expecting.
