Are small films getting enough support from the Industry and Government? Many has this doubt and latest comments from a producer is making this topic more important.

Producer Dheeraj Mogilineni has made interesting comments about the difficulties faced by small films in the Telugu film industry. Speaking about the importance of supporting small movies, Dheeraj said that the film industry cannot depend only on big budget films. He also expressed his disappointment over the behaviour of music director Sinjith Yerramilli.

Dheeraj Mogilineni also spoke about the competition faced by small films in Tollywood. He said that small movies are losing revenue because of competition from big-budget films released around the same time. He added that whenever a Prabhas film releases, it becomes a festival for fans, and the actor's movies do not necessarily have to release during the Sankranthi season to attract audiences. Dheeraj also pointed out that increasing ticket prices for every film is creating difficulties for smaller producers in securing theatres.

He added that the industry should provide better opportunities for small films instead of focusing only on big-budget projects. He believes that all films, regardless of their budget or star cast, deserve a fair chance to reach audiences and perform well at the box office.

Dheeraj is currently associated with Summer Holidays, an upcoming Telugu family entertainer directed by debutant Srikar Nayan G. The film stars young actors Master Rohan Roy and Master Arun Dev, along with Jayasudha, Rajeev Kanakala, Vasuki Anand, Harshavardhan and Baby Khushi.

Dheeraj also spoke about the issue of ticket price hikes. He said that it was not only big producers who approached Pawan Kalyan regarding ticket prices. His remarks highlighted the difficulties faced by producers who need support to recover their investments.

He also referred to the discussions and controversies surrounding the release of Peddi. He added that there was a lot of discussion during the film's release, but the situation changed after the movie was released. He questioned the lack of continued attention and support afterwards.

Dheeraj's main point was that the Telugu film industry should not focus only on big-budget movies and star heroes. Small films also provide opportunities for new directors, actors, technicians and other creative professionals.

Meanwhile, Summer Holidays is expected to offer a nostalgic family experience. Set in the villages of the Godavari region, the film follows a city boy who visits his grandparents during the summer holidays and develops a friendship with a local newspaper delivery boy.
