4 Top Directors Aiming For A Big Comeback!

Tollywood is growing bigger with each passing day. The budgets are getting higher and the market is getting wider. Elite filmmakers like Rajamouli have crossed the borders and making films to international crowds now while Sukumar is blowing away the audience all over the country with his making. Even young directors like Prasanth Varma, Chandoo Mondeti and others are catering to a wider set of audience.
At this juncture, there are four big directors from Tollywood who are aiming to make a strong comeback and show that they are still one of the best in the game. The first one in the list is Koratala Siva. The star writer-director has scored blockbusters like 'Mirchi', 'Srimanthudu', 'Janatha Garage' and 'Bharat Ane Nenu'. These movies proved that he is an expert in mixing commercial cinema with a strong message for the society. But he failed badly with 'Acharya'. The movie arrived with huge expectations as it had Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan playing the lead roles. The failure of this flick had a huge impact on Koratala. He took a lot of time to craft 'Devara' and he is taking the action route to make a strong comeback.
Trivikram Srinivas is widely regarded as the wizard of words and an expert in giving successful family entertainers. Despite scoring commercial hits, many complain that his movies are becoming quite routine and he is repeating the same stories again and again. 'Guntur Karam' is considered his weakest work and showed that churning out stale content will no longer be welcomed. We don't know about his next project and there are a lot of speculations about it. But he is reportedly penning an action-oriented script to make a strong comeback.
The next on the list is Boyapati Sreenu. This mass director is known for his action flicks that defy all odds including gravity. Barring a few, most of his films ended up as huge hits. There is a huge complaint on him that he can only deliver hits with Balakrishna. He proved it wrong through 'Sarrainodu' but 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' with Charan and 'Skanda' with Ram proved to be huge disasters. He faced a lot of trolls and not many star hero fans are liking the idea of him working with their matinee idol. He okayed a movie under Allu Aravind's production. We are not aware if it is a movie with Bunny or another star hero but he needs to make it a big hit in order to be relevant in the number game.
Last but not least, Puri Jagannadh is aiming to show that he is not out of the race. Puri is known for his inconsistency. Right from the beginning of his career, he had given both hits as well as flops. But the situation became way too bad after 'Temper'. He made many films like 'Jyothi Lakshmi', 'Rogue', 'Loafer', 'Mehbooba' and others which failed badly. His 'Ismart Shankar' was a blockbuster in 2019 which made everyone think that he was back but his next venture 'Liger' turned out to be a huge nightmare. It ended up in huge losses and he needs 'Double Ismart' to become a success. Let us see if these four top directors make a strong comeback or not.
