Sankranti Releases: How Will Things Work Out?
The movie is almost done but we need to see if they get a decent number of screens or not because there are even bigger releases than that.
With the Dasara season arriving already, people are now focused on the next big season for Tollywood which is Sankranti. With many films announcing their arrival during this season, it will be a huge challenge for the distributors to allot a good number of theatres to all those flicks. While the buyers and exhibitors try their best, one or the other film ends up getting way less number of theatres.
The Sankranti releases include Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Karam', Venkatesh's 'Saindhav', Ravi Teja's 'Eagle', Vijay Deverakonda's 'Family Star', Nagarjuna's 'Naa Saami Ranga' and Teja Sajja's 'Hanu-Man'. As we know, Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Karam' is guaranteed the major chunk of theatres due to the craze of the superstar. After that, 'Saindhav' and 'Family Star' will get a good number of theatres as they have the banking of Suresh Babu and Dil Raju respectively.
We don't know if 'Eagle' arrives during the Sankranti season or not. Ravi Teja's film is still in the making and the team is yet to give an update regarding the progress of the shooting. If the movie arrives as announced, the options may close for others. 'Naa Sami Ranga' too may or may not arrive during the Sankranti season and it looks like 'Hanu-Man' which is going to face the problem during theatre allotment.
The movie is almost done but we need to see if they get a decent number of screens or not because there are even bigger releases than that. Many are suggesting a change in the release date but 'Hanu-Man' team postponed the film a lot of times before and we need to see if they risk doing it again.
