One of the biggest unexpected clashes that’s taking place between two equal contenders is none other than the release of Yash’s Toxic and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 on March 19th. While Toxic is riding on Yash’s popularity after the super success of the KGF franchise, Dhurandhar 2 is the sequel of the highly successful Dhurandhar that amassed more than ₹1500 crores after releasing last December.

Guess what, while Dhurandhar was released in Hindi version alone, the sequel is now coming up in Southern languages too. The film is expected to release in around 4,000 screens across India and is expected to touch ₹100 crores gross on its debut day due to the hype surrounding it. However, Yash’s Toxic has grabbed nearly 5,500 screens, grabbing more theatres in the South due to the Yash advantage. That sets the difference now.

Toxic is expected to pool up more than ₹250 crores gross irrespective of the talk, as the first day is likely to be witnessed massively in Karnataka, Telugu states and Malayalam as well. The film enjoys as much craze as the Hindi version does in the north. With the film having typical commercial cinema ingredients with nearly five-star heroines aboard, surely it will work big time in mass centres.

If these trade predictions come true, Yash’s Toxic, directed by Geethu Mohandas, will not just break records, but it will create history with the mega gross likely to amass on the first day.
