Toxic Craze Is Unimaginable; 50K Tickets Sold in Just One Hour

The excitement around Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is reaching a new level. The movie is all set to arrive in theatres on August 26, and the advance booking numbers are already showing how strongly fans are waiting for it. Social media is filled with updates about ticket sales, with fans celebrating the film’s huge pre-release response.

A new update has added even more excitement among Yash fans. According to a post making rounds online, Toxic has already crossed ₹2 crore in advance sales on BookMyShow and District. The post also claimed that more than 50,000 tickets were sold on BookMyShow in just the last one hour. Fans are calling this response unbelievable and are saying that the craze for Yash’s return is at another level.

The latest numbers reported by NDTV also show a strong advance booking trend. According to NDTV, Toxic had sold more than 9 lakh tickets across nearly 17,780 shows before its release. The film had earned a gross of ₹32.21 crore excluding blocked seats, while the figure including blocked seats was around ₹41.36 crore.

Karnataka, Yash’s home state, is leading the advance booking charts. The Kannada and Hindi versions are both performing strongly. NDTV reported that the Hindi 2D version had collected around ₹15.68 crore, while the Kannada 2D version had earned about ₹13.02 crore in advance bookings. Other formats and languages are also adding to the total.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is a gangster action drama set against the backdrop of Goa during the period from the 1950s to the 1970s. Yash plays the central character, Raya, who rises inside the criminal world through violence and betrayal.

The movie also has a big cast, including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth. Yash is returning to the big screen after a four-year gap, which has made the film even more special for his fans.
