Triptii Dimri gained widespread recognition through her role as Zoya in the movie Animal, earning her the status of a national crush among the youth. However, the portrayal of Zoya sparked controversy due to the perceived misogynistic treatment of female characters in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film.

In an interview, Triptii revealed that her parents were initially shocked and advised against her intimate scene with Ranbir Kapoor. She said, "My parents got a little taken aback. (They said) ‘We have never seen something like this in films and you have done it.’ It took them time to get over that scene. They were very sweet to me though. They were like, ‘You shouldn’t have done that... but it’s okay. As parents, we will obviously feel this. 'She added further, "I told them I am not doing anything wrong. It’s my job and as long as I am comfortable and safe, I don’t see any problem in that. I am an actor and I have to be 100 percent honest with the character that I play and I did that.”

Triptii expressed gratitude for her parents' understanding, acknowledging that while they were initially taken aback, they ultimately supported her choices. The actor highlighted her comfort and safety during the shoot, crediting director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for thorough discussions about each scene. She said after watching the film her parents praised her as she got a good popularity for the Zoya role.

It's worth noting that Animal stands as the highest-grossing movie in Ranbir Kapoor's career. Triptii Dimri's performance, while sparking debates, has undoubtedly contributed to the film's widespread recognition and financial success.
