Can Trivikram Match Those 3 Directors?

After Mahesh Babu’s “Guntur Kaaram”, director Trivikram took a huge break to come up with his next project. Though he was expected to announce something big, with some star hero, he has come up only with Venkatesh’s Adarsha Kutumbam movie, which is not seen as a big follow-up to his movies with the likes of Allu Arjun, Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu. Now that he has announced Trivikram’s God of War again, surely that puts him back on the star-director pedestal. But here’s the thing to be seen.
In the last decade, though Trivikram kept making very good Telugu movies, the likes of Rajamouli, Sukumar, and Prashanth Neel have gone to the next level with pan-India results. Rajamouli’s epic film Baahubali, Sukumar’s pure mass drama Pushpa, Neel’s out and out actioners like the KGF series and Salaar have made them sought-after directors across the country. But Trivikram never did films in the genre mentioned above. Now, for the first time, he’s trying to direct a fantasy film laced with huge VFX and trying to go pan-India. With no experience in such projects, many are wondering if Trivikram could really deliver.
First of all, Trivikram should do something on the scale of Rajamouli, Sukumar and Neel, or bigger than them, to achieve the pan-India success. Also his films run in Telugu due to the ‘rhyming’ dialogues and that wouldn’t suit the Hindi audience or the other language audiences. So, more than dialogues, the film should have content, scenes and better execution. Only then, Trivikram could reach that pan-India range. Well, that’s a big test for him sure.
