Trivikram Needs To Prove Himself Again

Trivikram Srinivas was once one of the biggest star directors in Telugu cinema. His films had a special identity, and audiences strongly believed in his storytelling. For many years, he was among the top directors in the industry. However, things seem to be changing for him now.

Several directors who entered the industry after Trivikram have expanded their market and become popular across India. Directors like S. S. Rajamouli, Sukumar and others have taken Telugu cinema to a wider audience. Trivikram, meanwhile, has largely remained within the Telugu film industry. Even though he has delivered successful films, he has not been able to create the same impact and excitement that he once had.

The biggest setback in his career came with Agnyaathavaasi. The film, starring Pawan Kalyan, was expected to be a huge success, but it failed badly at the box office. The result became a major talking point and affected the director’s image.

After that, Trivikram returned with films that performed better. However, the huge buzz surrounding his projects in the past has not completely returned. This is now making his upcoming film with Venkatesh an important project for him.

Interestingly, the film is also seeing several changes in its technical team. Sanu John was initially associated with the cinematography, but Ravi K Chandran is now handling the camera work. There has also been a change in the music department. Harshavardhan Rameshwar was initially announced as the composer, while Thaman is now working on the music.

The editing department has reportedly gone through a change too. Sreekar Prasad was earlier associated with the project, while Naveen Nooli is now being discussed for the responsibility.

The makers have not officially explained why these changes are happening. There is also no confirmation that the reshuffle is because of any disagreement between Trivikram and the technicians.

The film is planned as a family entertainer and stars Venkatesh along with Srinidhi Shetty, Nara Rohith and Nivetha Pethuraj. It is currently scheduled to release on October 2, 2026.

For Trivikram, this film could be important in bringing back the confidence and excitement around his name.
