A former child actor from Nickelodeon has drawn public attention after he was recently seen living on the streets in California. Tylor Chase, best known for playing Martin Qwerly in the popular TV show Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, was spotted in Riverside, Los Angeles, in a video that began circulating on social media.
The video first appeared online in September. In the clip, Chase is seen wearing worn-out clothes and holding up his jeans while talking to the person recording him. When asked if he had once acted on Nickelodeon, he calmly confirmed his role in the show. The moment became emotional when the person filming recognised him from his childhood television days.
After the video spread, a GoFundMe page was created to help him. The fundraiser managed to collect over 1,200 dollars in a short time. However, it was later taken down by Chase’s mother. She explained that her son needs medical care rather than money. According to her, Chase struggles to manage daily needs, including keeping phones or handling money for his medication.
The situation deeply affected his former co-stars. Chase’s condition was discussed on the “Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide” by Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee. Daniel Curtis Lee shared that he felt angry and helpless after seeing the video, questioning why someone would film a person during such a difficult phase of life.
Lindsey Shaw expressed her wish to meet Chase personally and offer emotional support, saying she misses him dearly. Devon Werkheiser described the situation as painful and shocking, adding that it is heartbreaking to see a kind and talented person struggle so much.
All three former co-stars said they are hoping to help Chase find a better and healthier path forward.
