All Eyes On #OG Anchor's Massive Comeback

If someone is talking about glamorous anchors like Anasuya, Rashmi, Sravanthi or anyone, the #OG of all these anchors is Udayabhanu, who rocked in the late 90s, on popular channels like ETV and others. In no time, she has risen to the top position, and there's been no show and reality event without her for some years, though Suma and Jhansi used to be her main contenders.

After testing her luck as an actress, she exited from the TV circuits too, settling down for family life. Later, Udayabhanu did some political activism on news channels, and now she’s once again coming back as an actress on the big screen. In the upcoming web series “D/o Prasada Rao, Kanupadatledu”, she’s doing the role of a dynamic police officer. While the trailer featuring her and Rajeev Kanakala in other lead roles is impressive, admirers of the actress are hoping that she gets a big break now.

Back then, Udayabhanu acted as a heroine in a couple of movies, and later did an item number in the Julayi movie, but somehow she hasn’t cracked the code. We have to see if this OTT entry will enable the #OG anchor to work out a longer innings on the silver screen.
