However, even the usually calm and composed, Upendra appeared to have lost his school when he was asked about another hero’s film by the media. This incident happened when Upendra was addressing the press as a part of the post release promotional campaign of his recent film UI.
In the interaction, Upendra was asked about his contemporary hero, Kichcha Sudeep’s recent film Max. “Don’t you think, Sudeep’s Max film will eat into the collections of your own film, UI?” The Media asked Upendra.
In response, Upendra, who is usually very calm and composed, while addressing the media appeared to be briefly agitated as he replied “I don’t know about other films. I only know about UI” was his response.
Usually, both Sudeep and Upendra share a very good rapport. In fact Sudeep sees Upendra as his guru and respects him highly. However, when asked about Sudeep’s film Upendra had a strong response to the Media. This kind of knee jerk reaction from Upendra was not expected, but again that’s how the industry operates.
