OG Effect: Netflix Grabs Pawan’s Ustaad From Competitor

One of the most delayed films of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan in recent times is none other than Ustaad Bhagath Singh. The film happens to be a remake of the Tamil film Theri, with director Harish Shankar making massive changes to the script.

While the film was kick-started with a muhurat event in December 2022, there are various changes to the film’s story, cast, and other things. They have sacked Pooja Hegde from the job, then pushed out Sakshi Vaidya, and finally settled for Sreeleela and Raashi Khanna. It looks like even the OTT deal has changed hands now.

Earlier, this film was with Amazon Prime Video, but with the film’s production taking a long hit, it looks like they have now given up on the project. Today, Netflix India announced that whenever Ustaad Bhagat Singh debuts on the silver screen, it will later come to their OTT platform. After the success of #OG on their platform, it looks like Netflix is more keen to acquire Pawan Kalyan’s films.

Currently, makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh are nearing the completion of production, and recently, the first-single from the film was released. The movie might hit cinemas in Summer 2026.
