Varalaxmi Says That A Channel Owner Wanted To Book A Room!

The MeToo movement picked up speed in 2018 and a lot of actresses opened up about the harsh situations they faced in their careers. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar bravely talked about what happened to her. She was one of the very first persons from the industry to speak up about this issue. She accused a media channel owner of misbehaving with her and filed a complaint against him.

Talking to a YouTube channel recently, she revealed more details about it. A big channel owner came to her house to talk about a project and everything went well. He asked when would they meet again and Varalaxmi questioned 'Why?'. He reportedly said that they needed to talk about further details and said that he would book a room for her.

She said that he came to her house and said this which made her file a complaint immediately. He behaved like this with a girl from a well-known family and Varalaxmi thought about the situation of normal women. She immediately filed a police case against him through her 'Save Shakti' NGO.

She said that she was disturbed by it a lot and faced many more such situations throughout her career which made her lose a lot of projects. Despite all that, Varalaxmi is one of the top actresses in South India. She is busy working on various Telugu and Tamil projects.
