Actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar got engaged to Nicholai Sachdev on March 1 in Mumbai. The engagement ceremony was attended by her loved ones. Actress shared the news and intimate pictures from the event.

Varalaxmi looked stunning in an ivory and gold silk saree with a bright fuchsia blouse. She adorned diamond jewelry and styled her hair in a bun with flowers. Nicholai wore a matching panache kattu in shades of ivory and gold. Both families dressed in matching outfits, with Sarathkumar and Radhika sharing joyful moments.

Varalaxmi and Nicholai, bonded for 14 years, will announce their wedding date later this year. Pictures reveal Varalaxmi's dad, actor-politician Sarathkumar, sister Pooja, step-mom Radikaa Sarathkumar, and daughter Rayane Mithun. Radikaa shared the joy on Instagram, wishing them happiness.

The couple sought parental blessings before their engagement. Social media congratulated them, and released photos showcased their radiant happiness.

Varalaxmi, a highly-paid character actress in the South, remains busy in Telugu and Tamil projects. Known for her roles in Tharai Thappattai, Vikram Vedha, Sandakozhi 2, Sarkar, Maari 2, and Iravin Nizhal, she recently starred in the Telugu superhero film Hanu Man. Her upcoming role in Dhanush's directorial venture, Raayan, alongside Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, S. J. Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, and Aparna Balamurali, adds to her diverse repertoire.
