She started as a heroine but made a mark by showcasing her acting talent in key roles rather than being a regular glam doll.
There are some strange sentiments that the filmmakers follow to attain success. Though it is not intentional, the coincidence is now considered as a sentiment by many. Talented actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is a busy actress in Tamil and Telugu languages right now. She is playing very important roles in many movies these days. She started as a heroine but made a mark by showcasing her acting talent in key roles rather than being a regular glam doll.
Her recent outing was 'Hanu-Man' which ended up as a blockbuster. She played Teja Sajja's elder sister in the movie and gave a fine performance. Her role gets killed in the pre-climax part of the movie in the hands of Vinay Rai. She dies by slitting her own throat in Balakrishna's hit movie 'Veera Simha Reddy' last year. She played a character with negative shades in that movie. She realizes her mistake in the end and ends up killing herself.
Prior to that, she played the role of Jayamma in 'Krack' where she trusts Samuthirakani's character Katari Krishna blindly and ends up getting murdered by his men. Interestingly, all these movies ended up being successful and all three of them were released during the Sankranti season. Varalaxmi scored very good marks for her acting in all three movies. Varalaxmi is proving to be a cut above the rest by not restricting herself to certain kinds of roles.
She is okaying films based on the character's strength no matter if it is positive or negative. She did roles in movies like 'Kota Bommali PS', 'Naandi', 'Tenali Ramakrishna', 'Pakka Commercial', 'Yashoda' and others. Currently, she is working on 'Sabari' in which she is playing the title. Insiders are saying that killing Varalaxmi onscreen during the Sankranti season guarantees success.
