Heroines Like This. Influencers Like This.
That’s what many folks, especially women, are doing on the gram right now.;
The Hyderabad police commissioner VC Sajjanar has put words aptly the other day, saying that influencers and some folks on social media should not create ‘thirst traps’ for youths to make money. That’s what many folks, especially women, are doing on the gram right now. Despite repeated calls to be more ethical and concerned about the society and the culture we strive to pass on to next generations, here comes a bunch of heroines and influencers, who think about their financial goals, and continue to do the same.
If we look at heroines, first, the likes of Disha Patani started to post only bikini pictures, thus amassing a huge fan following. With that, she grabbed the brand ambassador opportunity for Calvin Klein in India. Following in the same path, Tripti Dimri went almost nude in Animal, and that sizzling show has now given her a chance to become the face of Victoria's Secret in India. Already her bikini-bra pictures are all over the internet, and also at various malls in top-tier cities. Now, many heroines are following the same route, increasing their glam factor and posting more bikini pictures. Because grabbing such an endorsement gives them crores. Neither Disha nor Tripti nor any other actresses have proven themselves, nor have they had at least one award-winning performance in their careers, except for going sultry on social media.
Coming to influencers, despite cases lodged against influencer Vishnupriya in Vijayawada, her subscriber count is increasing. When the cases are lodged, there are 2900 subscribers; now that has gone up to 4173 subscribers. The more and more she’s in the news, the more folks are subscribing to watch the sleazy and steamy content she shares. Similarly, the accounts of other such social media influencers, who are posting these steamy pictures, are witnessing a surge in subscriptions. There aren’t many differences between heroines and influencers now, when it comes to laying thirst traps, to make money. Except for having a reality check themselves, by both heroines/influencers and their subscribers, this can’t be controlled.
