Wah! Venkatesh Beats Allu Arjun Record!
what could be considered a rare incident at the box office, we are witnessing senior hero Venkatesh Daggubati beat a long-standing record held by superstar, Allu Arjun.
These days, Tollywood has become an industry which largely runs on the box office prospects of its elite superstars. It is these superstars who are commanding the highest amount of box, office attention and also exaggerated remunerations.
However, what could be considered a rare incident at the box office, we are witnessing senior hero Venkatesh Daggubati beat a long-standing record held by superstar, Allu Arjun.
This is happening in the case of recent Sankranti special Telugu film Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam and Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramulo. Incidentally, the long-standing record held by the Allu Arjun film is now being broken by Venkatesh.
As per the latest box office reports, The worldwide gross collections of Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam have beaten the collections posted by Ala Vaikunthapurramulo - Rs 180 crore gross worldwide.
In what could be considered and extremely rare happening, the box office prospect of a senior Hero like Venkatesh has managed to break a long-standing regional record held by Allu Arjun.
What this also means is that this is the biggest grossing film in the career of Venkatesh, and this could not have come at a better time for the actor who was reeling under pressure after Saindhav. Sankranti entertainment factor and Venkatesh’s family pull have worked wonderfully.
The film is now projected to collect over ₹200 crore gross worldwide. This is surely going to be a benchmark film amongst the senior heroes bracket in Tollywood.
