Vijay Devarakonda Responds to Betting App Case Questioning

The betting app case has been making headlines in Tollywood for several days now. Many big names are being questioned in connection with it. After actor Prakash Raj was questioned recently, Vijay Devarakonda appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today morning. The actor gave a clear update to the media after the session and explained what really happened inside.

Vijay explained that he was called in because his name got linked to the betting app issue. He said there's a clear difference between betting apps and gaming apps, which many people don’t realize. According to him, the app he promoted, A23, falls under gaming, not betting. He stressed that A23 is completely legal and operates within the rules.

He went on to explain that gaming apps like A23 operate with proper permits, GST, taxes, and legal registration in many Indian states. These apps are even official sponsors for major sports leagues like IPL, Kabaddi, and Volleyball. Vijay mentioned that the A23 app cannot even be accessed in Telangana, where betting apps are restricted. He added that he has promoted only legal platforms and not any illegal betting sites.

Vijay also submitted all of his bank statements and contract details to the ED to prove everything was done legally. He assured me that he had nothing to hide. Meanwhile, his latest film Kingdom has been receiving mixed reviews but is running steadily in theatres. Despite the controversy, Vijay seems calm and confident in his stand.
