Vijay Deverakonda is all set for the release of Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. As part of the promotions, he clearly said that the movie is not another KGF. “It’s not an entertainer. It’s an action drama with a different tone,” he explained. Kingdom is releasing in theaters on July 31, and Vijay is leaving no stone unturned to reach out to audiences across languages.

At a Chennai event, Vijay spoke about how Anirudh Ravichander’s opinion means more to the public than his own. He said, “Anirudh has poured life into this film. When he said it’ll be a milestone, people started believing it instantly, even my friends.” Vijay added that he’s spent so much time with Anirudh lately, it makes him want to “kidnap” him and keep him close.

He also thanked Tamil fans for the success of his earlier film Kushi. “The love you gave me for Kushi meant a lot,” Vijay said, while highlighting that Kingdom is not just about him, but a film shaped by the director’s vision. His aim with Kingdom is to offer something serious, grounded, and emotionally strong.

Kingdom follows the story of a spy whose mission is to destroy a crime network led by his own brother. The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev. It’s planned as a two-part story. With Anirudh scoring the music, fans are excited for this fresh combo and the intense drama that awaits.
