That’s A Shocker: Ranabali In Dasara Race

With Vijay Deverakonda sustaining an injury first and then Rashmika Mandanna, none expected that their upcoming film would hit cinemas as planned. But the makers of their upcoming film “Ranabali” have just confirmed that they are locking October 16th as planned and have made it official too.

Directed by Taxiwala movie fame Rahul Sankrityan, Vijay and Rashmika’s Ranabali is now hitting cinemas on October 16th to cash in on the Dasara holiday. Also, for the holiday season, this is the only film in the race from Tollywood. The other two biggies are Superstar Rajnikanth’s Jailer 2, which is hitting cinemas on October 15th, and Dhanush’s OM, which is targeting the 16th. Jailer 2 might get a big, solid release in Tollywood owing to the fact that the first film of that series is also a blockbuster.

With Ranabali being a period film, set in the pre-independence Rayalaseema region, and the pairing of Vijay-Rashmika repeating for the third time, their first after marriage, surely it’s going to be very interesting. However, there are biggies like Nani’s The Paradise that is hitting cinemas on September 24th, and Venkatesh-Trivikram’s AK47 on October 2nd, and if both these films are blockbusters, then Ranabali will have tight competition.
