There are many times heroes turn to production and make their own movie, but after the release, the films fail to excite anyone, resulting in some losses. Other than Nani in Telugu, many heroes who have invested their own money to carve out their movies have seen losses most of the time. But then, the heroes never agree that they lost a chunk of money, and they calmly stop producing movies. From big stars to young heroes, many have seen losses, but what they need to do is acknowledge things like Vijay Sethupathi.

Recently speaking in an interview, Vijay Sethupathi has openly stated that all the films that are produced by him have resulted in a huge loss. Initially, the hero started a film titled Sangu Thevan in his production, but dropped it later, and that itself resulted in a ₹1.75 crore loss. After that, Orange Mittai, Merku Thodarchi Malai, Junga, and Laabam are the movies produced by Vijay Sethupathi, but they have all failed to click at the box office. So what does Vijay Sethupathi think about these movies?

“I’ve no regrets about losing money on those films, because I’ve liked those scripts and produced them. Even now, I like those films pretty much,” he said, thus explaining how heroes should be honestly projecting their work rather than simply backing out. However, with the support of Hotstar now, Vijay Sethupathi is coming up with the web series Kaattaan, which wouldn’t result in any financial loss.
