Trailer Talk: Silent Movie “Gandhi Talks” Speaks Volumes
The trailer of this silent film got released today, and it spoke volumes for the content it’s offering.;
There was an era, many decades ago, where there were only silent movies, with only background music added later, and sometimes dialogues subtitled on the screen, and sometimes not. Those era movies like “Alam Ara” in India and Charlie Chaplin’s movies in Hollywood have created a storm. How about we relive that era once, with some of the finest performers of the moment taking centre stage?
Writer and Director Kishor Pandurang ‘Belekar’ came up with “Gandhi Talks” now, a silent movie that is backed by the finest actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth Jadhav and Mahesh Manjrekar. The trailer of this silent film got released today, and it spoke volumes for the content it’s offering. Though when the makers released first look posters, people thought it was an experiment, but the trailer proves that they are coming up with terrific content.
The film deals with the story of unemployed Vijay Sethupathi, who falls in love with his neighbour Aditi Rao, living opposite his house. Another story has millionaire Arvind Swamy losing all of his wealth and being pushed into a dire situation. Coupled with AR Rahman’s powerful music and the amazing acting prowess of Sethupati, Swamy and Aditi, the trailer packed a punch by speaking volumes.
“Gandhi Talks” is hitting cinemas on January 30th, across the whole of India, as language is not at all a barrier for the film to hit at any language box office.
