Sometimes, a gesture of faith turns into unexpected controversy. That’s exactly what happened after Anna Leginova, wife of Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, visited Tirumala following her son Mark Shankar's narrow escape from a fire incident in Singapore. What began as a heartfelt religious offering became a hot topic online, drawing both admiration and criticism.

Anna Leginova visited the sacred Tirumala temple and offered talanila at Padmavati Kalyanakatta as a mark of gratitude. She donated Rs 17 lakh to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam in her son's name and even served Annaprasadam to the devotees. While many praised her devotion and humility, a few started trolling her, claiming that women should not offer talanila in Sanatan tradition.

This triggered a strong response from actress and senior politician Vijayashanthi. She took to social media to condemn the negativity, stating that Anna Leginova's belief in Hindu traditions despite being born in a different faith deserves respect. “Trolling her for praying for her son’s well-being is completely unfair,” Vijayashanthi added, calling out the double standards.

In a world that often misjudges silent devotion, Vijayashanthi’s words struck a chord. Anna’s gesture was personal, spiritual, and meaningful to her family. And in moments like these, it’s clear that empathy should speak louder than noise.
