'Kushi' Becomes The Highest Grossing Telugu Flick In TN!

After delivering three flops in a row, Vijay Deverakonda arrived last year with 'Khushi'. This romantic drama is written and directed by Shiva Nirvana while Samantha played the heroine's role. The movie was released on 1st September and Mythri Movie Makers produced it. Though it did not reach the expectations, the movie still impressed a lot of people and worked out in all the languages it got released.
Ever since 'Arjun Reddy' was released, Vijay Deverakonda was adored by the Tamil Nadu people. He even made a Telugu and Tamil bilingual named 'Nota'. Deverakonda showcased his star power in Tamil and got closer to the audience with 'Khushi'. The collections of the movie in Tamil Nadu stunned everyone. It minted around 12 crores at the Tamil Nadu box office. This clean love and family entertainer is declared the 2nd highest collecting non Tamil film in Tamil Nadu. With Tamil star filmmaker Atlee being the director, SRK's 'Jawan' took the first place. After 'Khushi', it was Prabhas' action drama 'Salaar' and Ranbir Kapoor's emotional saga 'Animal' which collected well in Tamil Nadu.

Trade pundits claim that Vijay Devarakonda proves that he is the adopted son of Tamil Nadu.
