The makers of 'Family Star' are promoting the film on a grand note. With 'Tillu Square' becoming a good hit, Vijay's 'Family Star' needs to get a positive talk on Day 1 to stand firmly in theatres. After holding a few events, producer Dil Raju and the team held a pre-release press meet. Vijay, Mrunal and Dil Raju interacted with the media. The film's hero Vijay Deverakonda and producer Dil Raju a lot of interesting snippets about the movie.

As we know, Vijay's previous outing 'Liger' turned out to be a huge disaster. Vijay received a lot of criticism for his words before the release. Talking about it, he said, “There is no difference between then and now. But I am careful about one thing. I decided not to speak about the film's result before the release. I am applying the rule and it is a punishment I kept to myself.”

Vijay Deverakonda said that there is a person in every family who gives love, strength and support to everyone. They are the ones who we turn towards when there is trouble. He added that he plays such a role in this movie and it was his father who is a 'Family Star' in real life. He said, “When Bujji (Parasuram) narrated me the script which we wrote based on his life experiences, I immediately asked him to name the hero's character as Govardhan. It is my dad's name. I did that because it becomes easy for me as the visual of my father is already in my mind.”

Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor while Gopi Sundar is the music composer. KU Mohanan is the director of photography while AS Prakash is the art director. Written and directed by Parasuram, this movie is produced by Dil Raju and Shirish. It is the second film under the combination of Gopi Sundar, Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram as they did 'Geetha Govindham' before.
