Rowdy Hero… What A Daring Journey!

It is very difficult to establish oneself without a background. It is too hard when it comes to the film industry. But one young hero who came without any support and turned into a sensational hero in recent times is Vijay Deverakonda. Not just in Telugu but he gained a fanbase in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. He has now been in the film industry for the past 13 years.

He played a small role in Ravi Babu's directorial 'Nuvve' back in 2011 and he is even seen as one of the bad guys in 'Life is Beautiful' which arrived in 2012. He grabbed the chance to play character roles in some films but it is with 'Evade Subramanyam' that he got a lot of fame. Released in 2015, Vijay's character stole the limelight in which Nani was the hero. He was very natural in the character of Rishi.

With 'Pelli Choopulu' in 2016, Vijay became a complete hero and this film showcased his sensibilities to everyone. Tharun Bhasckar was introduced as the director with this film and it brought him a lot of fame and offers. He then became 'Arjun Reddy' in 2017 and it turned his career. It made him a star and the way Deverakonda portrayed the character designed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga was nothing short of phenomenal. He set a benchmark with this movie.

Post 'Arjun Reddy', he did a small cameo in 'Mahanati' and played the hero in a rom-com like 'Geetha Govindham'. It became the biggest commercial hit in his career. It got over 100 crores and made him a crazy star among the youth. He scored another hit in the form of 'Taxiwaala' as well. He became nearer to the family audience through films like 'Khushi' and 'Family Star'. Vijay's passion towards his craft has earned him a lot of fans.

Apart from steadily growing in the industry, he takes part in social service activities as well. Through his foundation, he helped many middle-class families during covid time. His good deeds have been appreciated by many. He even started a new thing where he gives selected crowds one lakh each. He named it 'Devara Santa'. He sends some of his fans to tours and even sends ice cream trucks all over the city during his birthdays to give away the ice creams for free.

Coming to his upcoming projects, he is working with Gowtam Tinnanuri and it is a cop story. He also announced a movie with Ravi Kiran Kola under Dil Raju's banner. He is doing a movie with his 'Taxiwaala' director Rahul Sankrityan once again and Mythri Movie Makers will be bankrolling it.
