'Maharaja' Becomes The Most Viewed Film On Netflix!

Vijay Sethupathi's landmark 50th film 'Maharaja' turned out to be a huge success not just in theatres but on OTT platform too. This intriguing thriller has won the praise of critics and the audience as well. It collected over 100 crores at the box office and showcased everyone what Vijay Sethupathi is capable of. A few weeks into its theatrical run, the movie was streamed on Netflix and got a huge reception.

It ended up being the most-viewed Indian movie on Netflix in 2024 till date. Considering 6 weeks of its release, the film managed to garner 18.6 million views already. The next place is taken by 'Crew' which got 17.9 million views while 'Laapataa Ladies' was watched by 17.1 million views. While 'Shaitaan' got 14.8 million views, Hrithik's 'Fighter' amassed 14 million views. 'Animal' was viewed by 13.6 million people while 'Dunki' got 10.8 million views.

Coming to 'Maharaja', Mamatha Mohandas is a part of the film as well. The rest of the cast includes Natty (Natraj), Bharathiraja, Abhirami, Mamta Mohandas, Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Vinoth Sagar, Boys Manikandan, Kalki, Sachana Namidass and others.

Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy is the producer while Nithilan Swaminathan is the writer and director. Ajaneesh Lokanath is the music composer while Dinesh Purushothaman is the director of photography. Philmon Raj is the editor and Anl Arasu is the stunt director.
