Young live-wire Vishwaksen is going through a purple patch at the moment as he wants to bounce back big time with the upcoming film “Cult”. As the film, directed and written by Vishwaksen, is hitting cinemas on October 30th, everyone is expecting him to turn the tide and end up scoring a blockbuster again.
Guess what, these days Telugu films are suffering from Second Half Syndrome these days, so we have to see if Vishwak overcame it successfully. While talking about the second half of the movie, the hero said that after hearing about a Vietnam incident, he got clarity on the second half and wrote it in a day, while he can’t write it in two years. This part is what worries a bit, because writing something in just a day is actually a bit risky.
In recent times, films like Toxic, Peddi, The Paradise and even Ranabali have suffered big time with the pale and unengaging second half. Now that Vishwaksen has inserted a real-incident-based drama, though it’s not happening in the same place, many are expecting that he might have pulled off a great stunt this time.
Cult is a slasher genre movie, which happens to be a sub-genre of horror, and features lots of violence and killing with a blade. How far that works out at the box office is to be seen.
