Actor Vishwak Sen is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Funky. During one of the promotional interviews, the actor spoke openly about gratitude and unhealthy attitudes in the film industry.

Vishwak Sen said that no director should ever carry the mindset of saying, “I made you a star” or “I gave you a career.” He said that cinema is always a team effort and success never belongs to just one person. He clearly stated that this kind of thinking creates ego and damages relationships in the industry.

Speaking about director Tharun Bhascker, Vishwak Sen praised him for his humility. He said Tharun introduced many actors, including himself and Vijay Deverakonda but never behaved like he owned their success. Vishwak Sen added that Tharun always treated actors with respect and never took credit in an unhealthy way.

However, Vishwak Sen also revealed that he once worked with another director who showed the worst possible attitude. Without taking names, he said that the director behaved as if actors owed their entire careers to him. Vishwak Sen mentioned that another actor he knows also shared similar bad experiences with the same person. His comments clearly showed his disappointment with such behavior.

Meanwhile, after the failure of Laila, Vishwak Sen is focused on making a strong comeback with Funky. The film is directed by Anudeep KV, who became popular with Jathi Ratnalu. Actress Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead.

Funky is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on February 13, 2026. Reports suggest the movie has a crisp runtime of 2 hours and 8 minutes, which suits the comedy genre well. The theatrical trailer will be released soon.

The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.
