Director Vivek Agnihotri became famous all over the nation with his 'The Kashmir Files'. This movie touched the hearts of many Indians who were unaware of the hardships and atrocities faced by the Kashmiri Pundits. After that, he made 'Vaccine War' which showed the conspiracy against the Indian government by other forces. While his 'The Tashkent Files' is about the mysterious death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Sastry back in 1996, his upcoming film 'The Delhi Files' will showcase the violent history of Bengal in reference to Noakhali riots back in 1946.

He is being accused of making propaganda films but the director claims that he has the liberty to choose whatever subjects he want. He added, “There are people who ask why Vivek Agnihotri is not making a film on the situation in the northeastern region. There are so many filmmakers. Let anyone among them take up the task. Let me choose my subject. Can't I create awareness about the issue chosen by me.”

Talking about the recent rape case in Kolkata, he said, “There are so many women MPs in India. Why are they not protesting against such an incident, why don't they sit on the street? You cannot trust politicians. India has been destroyed by politicians. I have a daughter and a sister. I don't want to exploit such an issue for commercial reasons. Let politicians do that. They are like vultures.”

He adds, “We all set in Bombay are posting on Instagram or Twitter and clearing ourselves from the guilt, but somebody has to do the leg work. "I felt that someone needed to step up and take action. When people who have the power to influence public opinion and young people come together, it inspires others to get involved.”
