Rahman Divorce: What Did Sairaa Banu's Lawyer Say About Mohini?

It is known that AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu had separated after being together in marriage for 29 long years. Incidentally, hours after Rahman announced separation from his wife, one of the principal members of his crew, Mohini Dey(Bassist) also announced separation from her husband.

This led to rumors on whether the Rahman divorce saga had something to do with Mohini Dey's divorce as well. Now, Saira Banu's lawyer has reacted on the issue and he has a few interesting to do with the latter.

The lawyer remarked that the Rahman-Sairaa divorce has nothing to do with any other circumstances. "The decision wasn't taken lightly by the couple. They carefully thought out every bit of it. There were no external circumstances that influenced the divorce. It was purely a personal decision taken mutually by both of them" The lawyer concluded.

This puts an end to these speculations about the possible role that Mohini might have had to play in the divorce. This is a positive reinforcement at an official capacity.

Earlier, about the divorce, Saira's lawyer stated "Despite their deep love for each other, the couple has found that the tensions and difficulties have created an insurmountable gap between them, one that neither party feels able to bridge at this time. Mrs Saira emphasised that she has taken this decision out of pain and agony. Mrs Saira requests privacy and understanding from the public during this challenging time, as she navigates this difficult chapter in her life."
